This is the first of a series of diptychs I made from a visit to the Morro da Conceição, a historical neighborhood on Rio de Janeiro. I didn’t have that intention initially, but after an examination of the photos, I observed some relationship among the houses (and its details).
Maybe it’s just another metaphor that confirms how we are, in the end, different from each other, even though keeping some similarities.
Photos taken with a Fuji negative film – I can’t remember which one exactly. I used the Canon 28-90, which can distort even a black hole.
